A famous festivity in Germany that may last for Sixteen days celebrating beer is the German Oktoberfest. It is held each year in Munich. It starts late September and comes to an end on the first weekend of October. It is probably the most popular gatherings in Germany having more than six million people from around the globe participating yearly. The area of the festival is a place referred to as the Theresienwiese (meadow, of Therese), nicknamed Wiesn in short. It's situated near to the heart of Munich. Every year, millions of liters of beer are being served. It's served up with conventional foodstuff such as Hendl (chicken) and Schweinebraten (roast pork) and in addition conventional meals such as Brezeln (Pretzel), Knödel (potato or bread dumplings) and Käsespätzle (cheese noodles).

Adults must pay an admission fee of $10.00 while the senior citizens and people from the military services may enter for $8.00. Saturday and Sunday highlights the Maypole performed by pro dancers who will then request the audience to take part in the Ribbon Dance. Dancers round up in a circle, possessing a colored ribbon linked to the pole and, as they circle the Maypole, the ribbon will be woven all the way down the pole. The Chalet Dancers, from Castle Rock, Colorado, are a global performance troupe who performs innovative choreographed sequences throughout the United States Of America and Europe. Their dances reflect the cultures of the world such as European fighting styles and costuming. Paulaner Beer is going to be displaying its famous beers such as Hefeweizen; Premium Lager and Salvator Double Bock.
